MICG to promote Material STEM careers during National Apprenticeship week

To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2022, Midlands Industrial Ceramic Group member Lucideon is hosting a live online panel event, ‘It’s a Material World: How Materials Science Education is Advancing the STEM Workforce.’

Taking place on Thursday 10th February at 2pm (GMT), the event will be hosted by Jeffrey Fox, Partnership Development Manager at AMRICC (a subsidiary of Lucideon) and will be joined by:

  • Kimberley Walley, Director at AEON Engineering.
  • Chris Buckley, Operations Director at CDS Group.
  • Professor Angela Dean, Head of Apprenticeships at the College of Science and Engineering, University of Derby.

The panel will explore what the current STEM landscape looks like, the importance of education and upskilling, and how both of these things affect students, employers and job seekers alike.
