About Your Company
The AMRICC Centre is a unique facility which enables companies to move faster and more efficiently from innovative ideas to commercial products. Both conventional and novel techniques are covered, supported by a suite of testing and analytics capability, and all overarched by deep expertise in machine learning and computational modelling. The facility consists of adaptable pilot-scale processes, with end-to-end capability through all the manufacturing steps involved in ceramics and advanced ceramics manufacturing. These can be uniquely configured to directly meet customers’ needs, both in terms of the ordering of the processes as well as the amount of material to be processed in a batch or semi-automated production line.
Your Work with MICG
The AMRICC Centre is a key output of the “Midlands Advanced Ceramics for Industry 4.0” Programme and the hub for the MICG activities. The Advanced Ceramics sector profile, https://micg.org.uk/a-beginners-guide-to-advanced-ceramics/sectorprofile/, commissioned by the MICG soon after its formation, highlighted the need for pilot plant facilities to support the commercialisation of innovation and support the transition of new technology from academia into industry. The AMRICC Centre equipment selection was guided by the MICG members to truly cover the wide variety required by the key players in this industry. Today, the AMRICC Centre is supporting the MICG members as well as UK and International customers through access to equipment and expertise.
